Akron Police Investigate Friday Night Robbery

Akron police are looking for a man who robbed a 38-year-old woman Friday night.

It happened around 11 p.m. near the intersection of East Exchange and Sherman Street. The suspect approached the victim from behind and pulled her hair.

The suspect then punched the victim in the face and grabbed her purse before he fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25 – 30 years old, 5'06" – 5'08", 150 – 165 lbs., muscular build, wearing a blue shirt and black pants. He also has tattoos on his forearms.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Akron Police Department.
