Akron Police detectives tracked down the suspect wanted in the murder of an Akron man earlier this week.

Thursday night, Demarcus Lee Williams, 20, of Akron, was arrested in the homicide death of Phillip Michael Anderson.

Anderson was found shot inside of his car on Princeton Street on January 10. He was taken to Akron General Medical Center, where he died Tuesday night.

Williams is charged with complicity to commit aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and drug abuse marijuana. Police discovered a bag of marijuana in his pocket during his arrest. Williams’ arraignment was scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday in Akron Municipal Court.
