Boy Killed By Train

The Stark County Sheriff's Department is investigating a train accident near Alliance the killed a 15 year old boy.

The story in today's Repository indicates that Kody Thayer, who was in the process of being adopted by a Lexington Township family, didn't hear the train coming as he and a friend were walking on the tracks near Iowa Avenue N.E.

The other boy was able to jump out of the way in time.

The accident happened around 5:15 p.m. Thursday. Thayer was pronounced dead about an hour later.
