A 48-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint for only $2.

Akron police say a woman was robbed Monday night while walking near the intersection of West Long Street and Victory Street.

Lt. Rick Edwards says the suspect pulled a gun from his waistband after the woman refused to give him any money. The victim then handed the suspect $2.

Police found Kevin S. Carter, 18, of Akron inside an apartment building with a .45 caliber pistol and the two dollars in his pocket.

Carter was booked into the Summit County Jail and was charged with aggravated robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and tampering with evidence.
