An Akron man is facing a list of charges after leading police on a high speed chase down Route 8.

Cuyahoga Falls police say the car was driven by 38-year old Bobby L. Kennedy. He was clocked by a police officer going 107 miles per hour on State Route 8 within the Falls city limits late Monday night.

The chase lasted close to 30 minutes-- going southbound on the highway into Akron.

Akron police joined in the pursuit and the driver finally stopped his car after he ran out of gas. An Akron police K-9 was able to catch the suspect. A 5-year old and a 15-year old were found in the car.

Authorities say alcohol and drugs were a factor in the chase.

Kennedy was taken to Akron City Hospital for a bite wound to his arm from the K-9.

He was charged with speeding, operating a vehicle under the influence, driving under suspension, fleeing and eluding police and two counts of child endangering.
