Police are investigating a pair of robberies in Akron's North Hill area that could possibly be related.
The first occurred around 9:30 Tuesday night over on Lexington Avenue. A man reported he was walking to the store when two men allegedly approached him, armed with a handgun and demanded money. He then told the pair he only had $4.00. They then took the money, his cell phone and cigarettes before taking off.
The second robbery occurred a couple minutes later near the intersection of Schiller Avenue and East Tallmadge Avenue. The victim reported he was walking to the store when two men approached him. before allegedly assaulting him. Police say the pair then took $10.00 from the victim’s pockets before fleeing. The man had minor injuries but refused medical attention.
Authorities offered a very vague descriptions of the alleged robbers, but anyone with information is asked to call Akron Police.
