Games to Watch
Garfield at Tallmadge (LIVE on 1590 WAKR) The Rams had a big overtime win last week against Cuyahoga Falls. But Darrion Powers and company will need to step their game up against Joseph Vassalotti and the Blue Devils, who come off a tough loss to Ellet a week ago.
Firestone at Stow The Bulldogs are at home trying to go 3-0 for the first time since 2007. Firestone, meanwhile, has had a tough start to its 2013 campaign, including being shutout by Copley last week.
Kent Roosevelt and Cuyahoga Falls The Rough Riders are trying to avoid falling to 1-2 as they head to the Falls tonight. Kent Roosevelt Coach John Nemec is still trying to figure out QB Dustin Monaco's comfort zone. He'll need to figure it out fast. Cuyahoga Falls will be hungry after what many considered to be an upset loss against Garfield.
Kenmore at Barberton Kenmore fell to a surprisingly good Norton squad last week. They'll look to make a case for why they should be considered among the top City Series teams heading into league play. Barberton picked up a come-from-behind victory a week ago, and they'll need good performances out of QB John Cominsky and RB Brandon McCall again tonight.
Wadsworth at Medina Wadsworth squeaked out a win last week against Wooster, but they'll need a much better performance against the Bees, who demolished Eastlake North 56-7 last week and appears to be hitting their stride after being blown out by Brunswick week 1.
Louisville at Ravenna Ravenna heads home tonight to open its new, Aaron Coleman-approved blue turf. They're trying to avoid going 0-3 after two consecutive blowout losses. They'll need big contributions from QB Warren Bradley and RB Demetrius Fear. Louisville has won two close ones, including a 14-13 win over Hoover last week.
