The Akron Police Department will be conducting a High Visibility Traffic Enforcement campaign through Thanksgiving weekend in an effort to promote safety and reduce traffic fatalites.

More police will be on the roads to encourage drivers to buckle up, slow down, and obey all other traffic laws.

The campaign is funded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration passed down through the Ohio Department of Public Safety and the Ohio Traffic Safety Office.
