The next fresh face on FOX Sports Ohio is a University of Akron alum. Bridget Linton of Green will take her place as part of the sports network's on-air team starting next Tuesday when the Indians host the Orioles at Progressive Field, including work on the pitcher's mound tossing out the ceremonial first pitch.
In addition to wearing the crown as Ohio's Miss Teen USA in 2010, Linton is a graduate of Green High School where she ran on the track team, played volleyball, was a cheerleader and was also a member of the dance team. At the University of Akron she was a communications major and also a member of the Zips Dance Team for four years.
Linton was selected from a field of 180 candidates and picked by online voting.
