Sobriety Checkpoint In Green Leads To Three Arrests

Three people were arrested for drunk driving at a sobriety checkpoint in Green Friday evening.

During the checkpoint on South Main Street,100 motorists passed through and six drivers were sent to a diversion area to be checked over.

Of the three arrested for OVI, one person refused a breathalyzer test.

However, the two individuals who submitted to the test had an average BAC of .189, more than 2.3 times the legal limit.

Others are facing charges including possessing drug paraphernalia, drug abuse and one was arrested for an open container of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
