Westfall is in the US Army and is stationed at Fort Hood, Texas where yesterday's shooting took place that left 13 people dead and injured at least 30.

Westfall was supposed to be at the part of the base where the shooting took place to visit a military doctor. Originally, Westfall and two members of his unit had a 10 o'clock appointment for visit a doctor. His appointment was changed to 1 pm because he had a sick child at home, and then it was cancelled all together.

Westfall doesn't know if he had come in contact with Major Nidal Malik Hasan on the base or not. Nadal is suspected of being the shooter in Thursday's incident.

Westfall said he was called back to his unit yesterday afternoon. Army officials wanted to get 100% accountability for every member on the base. Westfall said every member of his unit was accounted for.

But, Westfall says the names of those of who were either killed or injured have not been released.
