More Flu Clinics Announced In Akron 11/3/2009 2:56:38 PM | Chris Keppler, AkronNewsNow.com The Akron Health Department is hosting two H1N1 vaccine clinics this week. advertisement They'll both take place at the Helen Arnold Community Learning Center. The first one is Friday from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. School is in session that day, so the health department and Akron police are warning people that they can't show up hours in advance. In fact, police say they will strictly enforce a warning that nobody arrive at the CLC until 3:00 that afternoon.
The other clinic is Saturday from 9:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.
The vaccine is free and will be given on a first come-first served basis. People who received the seasonal Flu-Mist vaccine can't get the H1N1 Flu-Mist until at least 28 days have passed, but they can get the H1N1 shot.
The vaccine is limited to the following groups at this time:
