The OEC's Phil Richter tells AkronNewsNow " The Commission found that the statement that he was a recall committee chairman was a false statement, and for that violation the Commission decided to issue a letter of public reprimand to the Citizens For Akron. " Richter says the reprimand is still being prepared and will be delivered to Citizens For Akron soon. He says while it remains a part of the Commission's permanent record, there are no further sanctions or fines for the violation.

He says these types of complaints to the Commission increase significantly near election time, and keep the OEC busy determining when campaign statements depart from the truth.

Let's not forget the Council At-Large candidate on Tuesday's ballot Jeff Fusco was one of the key leaders of "Citizens For Akron" when these false statements were circulated.

Of course, as soon as the recall election was over (and as he proudly announced on WAKR) Don Plusquellic took over as the spokesperson for the group.

We're used to it from Il Duce Don. It's easy to tell when he lies....look for his lips to be moving!
