A Silver Lake boy is being honored by the state for saving the life of a young girl over the summer.
Cub Scout Daniel Green, 8, jumped in the water at the Silver Lake Festival when he spotted the girl struggling in the water. Green swam to the girl and helped her to safely get back to shore.
State Senator Frank LaRose presented Green with a Senate Resolution for the action. He also received an Honor Medal from Boy Scouts of America for possibly saving the girl's life.
Green is a member of Cub Scout Pack 3177.
