Second-year Medina softball coach Jessica Toocheck had a goal for her players that she revealed after her team’s 5-4 regional championship victory over Brecksville-Broadview Heights last Saturday at the University of Akron’s Lee Jackson Field. “I had made it to the regional (championship game) and I wanted to be able to give them something more than I had,” the former Medina and Kent State University standout said. “They are at that point now and they are just a great group of girls.
