WADSWORTH, Ohio – If you walk past Barberton High School and see a bunch of softball coaches with their ears glued to the side of the building on Sunday, don’t be surprised. Those coaches would rather be the proverbial fly on the wall when the Barberton Division I District seeds are announced in what could be one wild meeting, especially after what happened Friday when Medina and Wadsworth split in a Strikeout Cancer doubleheader at Weatherstone Park. Emily Blankenship’s two-out single in the bottom of the sixth inning lifted the Grizzlies to a 5-4 win over the Bees in Game 1. Medina bounced back with an 11-hit performance in a 10-4 victory over Wadsworth. Copyright 2012 SportsInk.
