AKRON, Ohio – The St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish exploded for nine runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to defeat the Crestwood Red Devils 15-5 at Patton Field on Friday afternoon. The game was originally scheduled for Friday night under the lights at Patton Field, but the teams decided to play under the sun, instead of the predicted 30-degree temperatures at night.
