GREEN, Ohio – On a day the Cleveland Indians saw fit to postpone their home game because of “adverse weather conditions,” Tallmadge senior Matt Shomo took his play to another level in leading the Blue Devils to an 8-1 Suburban League baseball win at rival Green. Tallmadge (6-4, 5-0), a defending Division II district champion, is undefeated in conference play. Shomo pitched six strong innings and yielded one run, while batting 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs. He also turned in a highlight-reel catch in right field for good measure.
