According to the Repository, the contract is effective immediately and is set to expire on September 30 of 2013.

A statement issued by Timken says the company is pleased with the ratification of the contract, which had been recommended by union leaders and company officials.

The last three years of the contract also offers wage increases, but the Repository reports out-of-pocket medical expenses will see a small increase.  Under the contract, new hires will see reduced benefits and wages.

1,320 voted for the contract with 280 against it.  Voting took place between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

I wonder how many of those people READ what they voted for? I hope they feel good about screwing over the people that will be hired down the road! I also hope that the negotiators are happy with what they have done! It's crap, but I guess they are too scared to make a stand.
