Taylor & Mayer Team Up and Dierks On TV
It's a rather slow news week in Nashville but some stuff has surfaced like Taylor Swift teaming up with John Mayer, Dierks Bentley preparing for the late night TV show circuit, and more. Get the scoop on these stories inside The Nashville Minute.

The Right Stuff -- Luke Bryan and Jimmy Wayne have been named to Nashville Lifestyles magazine's list of the 25 Most Beautiful People. Luke says he's a pretty low maintenance -- the only item he can't live without is his toothbrush. His secret for looking good is "happiness and staying busy." Jimmy keeps up his wholesome good looks by eating right and drinking a lot of water.

Swift & Mayer & Taylor -- Some of you may have seen this coming if you are active on Twitter. Taylor Swift has teamed up with John Mayer for a song called "Half of My Heart" which will appear on John's upcoming album, Battle Studies. And you can watch Taylor Swift this weekend; she will be a special guest on A & E's Private Sessions featuring Colbie Caillat on Sunday (October 4th) at 9:00 a.m.

Dierks on the Road -- Dierks Bentley will perform his new single, "I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes," on two late night TV shows this month. He'll appear on The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien on Monday October 5th. He'll also tape The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson for an episode airing on October 12th.

Opry Birthday -- The Grand Ole Opry is celebrating its 84th birthday on October 9th and 10th with special events and performances by Montgomery Gentry, Josh Turner, Diamond Rio, Jimmy Dickens, Joe Diffie, Kathy Mattea, Lorrie Morgan and Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers.

And finally,

Can't Stop Her -- Taylor Swift once again has the nation's top country album with Fearless. Zac Brown Band holds tight at number-two with The Foundation, Brooks and Dunn's Number Ones and Then Some lands at number-three, Jason Aldean's Wide Open at number-four and George Strait's Twang at number-five.

And that is the Nashville Minute.

Scott Wynn keeps you up to date with all that is going on in Nashville with the on-air version of my Nashville Minute Blog every weekday morning around 6:40 a.m. and 8:40 a.m. on 94.9 WQMX!

Keep it Real and Keep it Country!
